Aug 22nd '07 - COMP- 2007 Remarks Cadbury Moro Slopestyle No. 2 - VIDEO

22nd August 2007

79 people enjoyed blue sky and great snow conditions with just a slight headwind as they threw down tricks on a course through the park that had been expertly designed by the terrain park team.

The Remarkables youth action coordinator Josh Clark says the event ran smoothly and a good time was had by all.

Dancehall and reggae tunes from DJ Raf Star set the tone for a day that had all the competitors stoked.

The Open Men snowboard event was dominated by offshore riders with Daisuke Masuda of Japan claiming top spot. Mahi Mains of the Parklife team showed fantastic form to earn the top junior men position.

Top woman was Shelly Gotlieb of Ohakune with last years winner Callie Conaghan having to settle for second place.

Queenstowns Andrew Wylie was named first in the Open Men ski event while Parklifes Matt Soundy took out the junior title.

A prize pool worth $3000 was shared among the winners.
