The Slopestyle Jam went off on the weekend and saw some great riders come out from all over Canterbury.
With this being the only freestyle series for snowboarders in the region for 2009 it was a chance for everyone to showcase what they had on the sunny park set up by the Community Park Crew. With some great features and solid last jump the spectators were treated to BS 9s, Cab 5s, Rodeo 7s, and host of other tricks.. The list could go on. The level of riding was great!
There was good times had by all with free lunch put on by Quest for all competitors. Great prizes also put up by Quest and Burton, no one went away empty handed. Everyone involved is amped for the next round on the 5th of September up at Porters. For everyone who missed out... Its not to late to come be part of a super fun day and showcase your skills in the Community Park.
Those who did attend are now eligible for the overall MVP of the series and front runners in the open mens snowboard division Ben Comber, Yan, and James Hyde will be no doubt back up to try to lock that prize down.
