Yo! so I have been trippin round Europe since around the beginning of Jan on the shred missions and got the opportunity to go to Slovenia for a week to check out a few of there resorts and cruz the mean streets of Ljubljana with Oz/Nz Snowboarding Mag.

Our crew was myself, Mitch and Clint Allan, Alex Roberts (photog) and Chris McAlpine (editor of the mag). We rented a van from a joint in Innsbruck, Austria and we off on the road to Slovenia, which isnt even that far away only about 5hours to our first stop, some shit ass little farming town called Polje which is sort of in the middle of nowhere but actually the closest town to a mountain called Sorica.

Sorica had all these old dope army bunkers all over it from WW2 with some sweet tunnels connecting them. It was actually the old border to Italy way back when. So we had a bunch of fun exploring them and pretending we were getting attacked by Nazis.

After messing around there for a bit we thought we should try do some snowboarding and found these sweet frozen trees to build a small kicker though to tap the branches, it turned out pretty dope and we scored a couple of shots.

We shredded round the mountain for awhile longer and found a shit load of cool stuff to hit, but it was at the end of the when were back in car park we scoped this ill looking tree that we thought would be sick to build a lil tranny up and try pop some shit off.

Sick days riding done! So back to the crib to chill then time to eat, we were told about this crazy little restaurant near by that apparently did the hammers pizzas. And they werent wrong man, seriously these things were fukin huge!
 
There is a lot of sick scenery in Slovenia and since we were not really that deep into eastern Europe we were still in the full on alps, with massive valleys and some pretty cool looking lakes.

So that was us for 5 days, ride - eat - sleep - ride etc Then it was on to the capital city of Slovenia, Ljubljana for some sight seeing and to drunk, you know they serve full proof Absinthe at bars there? Time to get it on! After all we had been stuck in a shitty little farming town and crew was starting to get cabin fever. We spent a couple days in the city cruzin round checking out old buildings and a big ass cannel that runs though the middle of town. Shit was rad, I dont really get into the whole sight seeing history thing, but I was pretty impressed! And the graffiti artwork round the city was dope.

All in all a really cool and interesting city and Slovenia in general was an epic trip that I wont forget in a hurry. Next stop back to Austria and up into the Arlberg area for mass pow pow! Lovin it!
