Oct 20th '06 - Mt. Ruapehu Day Blog Terrain Park Checkout

20th October 2006

We got up early for the days shredding. It was set to be a fun session with the crew consisting of Phil Dominic, Holler, Mitch Brown, Kendall Brown, Jody Blatchley, Rich Hunt and Harry Harrilambi.

The High Flyer chair was up and running and everyone was out in force killing it. With no wind in sight and the suns rays softening up the park, we were set for some fun spring shredding.

The Turoa crew had the park on lock with a lot of options including 3 possible runs at the top of the park with a small side including a 15ft flat box into two 20ft'ers into a wallride. Next was a rail line with a street down rail - flat down double bar rail - long flat bar to big flat down box combo. And finally they had the big jump line with a double option takeoff for a 35fter into a 45-50fter. And that was just the top section.

Sliding the flat box midway down the park

Coming midway down the park was a mellow flat box into a banked C-box making it easy for back to back intermediate box shredding. Super fun!!

The park was super fun and if your hanging around the North Island then get up to Ruapehu to enjoy the last week before it closes next weekend on the 29th of October.
