I'm working at Whakapapa this year and need a place to stay. They offer the chateau twin rooms for $150 incl. breakfast and dinner but I'm thinking there must be places cheaper.

Has anyone lived in national park before? How easy is it to find a place to live (3 people, 2rooms) around the end of june?

Do people usually make the mission to ohakune for night life or is there a little something decent going on in National Park in the weekends?

I know this forums a longshot for these questions, but it's the only place I can think to ask.

Cheers.
