Hi there, I came across it and thought you might like to know about a website called www.mountainrideshare.com.
It caters for resorts all over the world. A few rides posted in Australia. Lets get flying the Kiwi flag!!

Anyone actually interested in carpooling should check out http://www.snowpool.org.nz/
It is already an established car pooling website in NZ.
It gets a bit of use but the more users that use one site in particular, the more effective it becomes.
