Hey,
Whistler sounds like it'll be going off this season once again. There will be soooo many kiwis and aussie's I don't think it should be that hard meeting up and scoring in somewhere to crash. Get to the bar and ask around. Notice board it up too. Best of luck and hope you have some epic days on the shred. Peace.

***WHISTLER*** 58 inches and counting, s i c k. So stoked. 2 more sleeps till Vancouver and 5 more sleeps till Whistler. So stupidly excited I can't think straight. First Northern Hemisphere winter season (in the snow, growing up in Ireland doesn't count!)

Hey,
Epic. Make sure to upload some sweet holiday snaps on NZsnowboard.com for us all to see. I know BC is seeing a lot more snow than Tahoe at the moment so enjoy it and pow it up. Peace.

Yeah, it's been puking today and last night, set to continue through to Friday!!!! Starting work tomorrow so hopefully by Sat morning it'll be even more sick and bluebird. I've taken quite a few photos but to be honest my 6 year old 2.1 megapixel Ixus doesn't do it justice so I'll let Matt send some more in from his flash camera! (not bitter at all!) Robett, if you wanna sponsor me a sick new camera I'll do a photo of the day every day *looks hopeful*

Hey,
Sounds like it just going off there. Sick to see. I wish I could sponsor everyone on this site to get shots up. I'm actually trying to track down a digi cam that you can shred with and it not break in your pocket. I've smashed 2 in the last year so any ideas would be much appreciated. Have a good one.

Hey Bevin, yeah there'll be some more shots coming up in the next few, went on a whiteout-park-with-flash mission with Colin the other day and got some stuff. Tomorrow should be all time, dropping 30+ tonight, meeting J in the morning to go find some narrow couloir Mael told me about. Will drop in and see you at work sometime soon!

Robett - I've a 6 year old Canon Digi Ixus V and that is invincible *touches wood* I've dropped it on concrete, in snow, fallen on it while in my pocket, gotten it wet, spilt coke or some othersuch sticky substance on it, generally abused it and it's still going strong. I hear the Ixus 800 something or other is the shit of small point and shoots and it comes with the digi III processer and some newfandangled thing for image stabilisation and awesome panorama shots. Worth checking out. Oh yeah, and there's a preset thing for snow, yayh!

Matt - throw up those shots of Jonny, they came out pretty well. Hopefully getting up for a few hours in the morning for a few hours before 10+ hours of work. Draining me 101!

Hey Bevin,
Cheers for the Camera tips. Whistler is just getting absolutely hammered. Utah, Colorado are starting to catch up but Whistler is killing it for sure. Happy shredding. Drop a cliff for us all.

Actually I was pondering the same question today, and I think the answer is that it really couldn't have been this good even in our best dreams! No worries Bev, I scored first tracks down the Glacier Express this morning, I opened the best Christmas present I've ever had at 8.35am! SO good today...... We're supposed to be the epicenter of the snowboard world at the moment, Euro is dry, States are ave I hear, and yeah I have a 1.5metre consolidated base on my front LAWN.

I hear the XL park is nuts this year. For all us in NZ go do a double cork for us and we'd be stoked. Have a good one and chuck some pics up if you get the chance. Word.

Dobo, you should be having some good snow @ Meribel, by now. My flatmates txt me from there, last nite, & said it was awesome, & that they had to wait a couple of hours b4 avo control had finished (this was 09:30, French time).
They also mentioned that the whole Les Trois Vallee area (Meribel, in particular) was about 80% skiers, this season...

We just capped off two solid weeks of no wind, blue skies and badass park riding. Spring came early for a lil bit but cold temps kept the snow fast and the booters in shape. Started snowing again today, just light dustings to come the next few then we'll see some more face shots. Tomorrow hittin some village features with Leffelaar and a camera or two, if I bother to wake up from the 6 day drinking binge we're on.
Shots to come. Matt.

So 2cm snow with some dodgy vis yesterday and then it rained all day today but ya know, I've just had my best 2 days riding *ever*, no joke. I've seriously progressed more in 2 days than in 2 seasons! I don't care we're having a break from the pow, gives me a chance to ride park and it's s o m u c h f u n!!!

*insane giggles*

Weeeelllllllllll......... considering the six day binge is now turning in to a ten day bender we didn't get "the shot" yet......... but the park is still getting more diverse every day or two with a HUGE mfng quarter getting pushed up outta nowhere overnight at the end of the black park, back to back reverse Cs anna buncha new tree jibs. Right, so just got back from 4 hours riding, 4 hours wings and chopping beers at crystal, gimme 15 for a shower then back in to it. Oh I hate Whistler with a vengeance.

NOT!!!!

Hey man, I fear that in that condition over here we're more likely to find squirrel ridden pine trees than bracken by the lake. No fun at all. Better wait till spring when the bears come out to play. Thanks for the help training for the bender haha
