I've lived in Rangataua last season, it's all good, usually cheaper rent, and the matai shuttle comes out there most nights on it runs for the pubs, but its not living in kune where you can walk to the pubs and to work buses, you need to have a car or live with someone that does and works the same hours.
Easyest way to find somewhere is go the the kune supermarket and look at the notice board.

Quick hint - Hook ups usually come from who you know rather than what you know.

Kune is a pretty fun place with a good crew. Get right in town, have a few beers at The Rocks or something and ask around. Good luck!!

We put this together to help us when we were on the road looking for a place to crash. Might help some of you out there.

Hi,
I'm coming over to work the season at Turoa, hoping to find a place to stay in Ohakune. This is my first season so don't really know how it all works.

Was hoping if we can get a group of people together to rent a house that would be awesome. I found one http://www.realestate.co.nz/1019946 sleeps 14 and is only 650 a week.

Let me know if anyone is keen to do this or if you have any suggestions or ideas on other places.

Cheers :)

Hi Steph, any luck woth that house you were looking at in Ohakune?? If yes, are you keen to take on some more roomies for a couple of days? Say 17th, 18th and 19th of June09? Can pay rent and bring some food for the 3 days stay?? email me on gnarly73@hotmail.com or txt 0272735177 if a possibility. Thx
