Residents of Railway Row, Ohakune in bid to save planet

27th September 2008

Radio Zero & FTB's JUNK YARD JIB

With recycling rates at an all time low, concerned citizens of Ohakune's Railway Row took things into their own hands last weekend.

Fridges, TV's, Cars, all kinds of junk, even a truckload of petrol were given a new lease of life when Ruapehu's snowboarding community pulled together to show the world how it's done.

One onlooker remarked 'these kids were dropping off things like there was no tomorrow' Which, of course, without recyling there won't be

So the next time you've got junk - you know where to bring it

Big props to our sponsors: Radio Zero 94.2fm Ohakune , Grenade
Gloves, Nitro Snowboards, Spy Optic and FTB snowboard camps for
getting in behind this Street level event and supporting Ruapehu
Riders.
