Porters Season Pass Prices Out Now & on Sale Soon!

20th February 2009

Season pass pricing for this year remains unchanged from last year, with the superb deals up for grabs until the 30th of April.

Porters early passes remain some of the most affordable in the market an adult full-access season pass is just $449 , with mid-week adult passes costing only $249 ! Students are also well looked after, with midweek student passes just $99 hands down the best option for students looking to duck away after their morning lecture.

In addition to the season pass pricing, all the rates remain the same for 2009, helping to ensure that skiing and snowboarding remain an affordable option for all Canterbury snow-sports enthusiasts. Ski area manager, Uli Dinsenbacher, is excited as usual about the upcoming winter season.

We are in the process of finalising an exciting 20 year plan this summer, which will allow us to focus on the key improvements to benefit our valued customers, says Dinsenbacher. Recent developments in the ski area and its operation have been well received by our customers, and we want to continue to improve the Porters snow experience.

The Porters Passport, established at the ski area in 2007, offers first time skiers and boarders an unbeatable platform for ensuring their progression in the sport, right from word go. The concept gives participants in the programme half price packages on the mountain inclusive of rental and lessons over a four day period (consecutive or otherwise), and culminates in a free season pass for the balance of the 2009 winter season.

Building the accessibility for everyone, Porters are looking to maintain and develop their partnership with Atomic Shuttles in continuing the great value return shuttle package from Christchurch, which utilises the Porters free mountain road shuttle, available to all Porters customers from the chain fitting area.

The Porters Community Park, established in 2008 and proving to be hugely popular,  is a key priority for Porters management and operations staff. As the name suggests, its all about the community, with a range of features for beginner and intermediate terrain park users to enjoy, and plenty of options for the more experienced riders to get technical on.

The famous Porters two for one Mondays are back once again for 2009 giving you the perfect opportunity extend you weekend. There are also some new additions for the up-coming winter including an interchangable parent pass for those parents with a young child to look after, specialised womens alpine clinic, masters racing (dates TBC), plus the development of Porters two and three day multi-day deals.

Early-bird season passes will be available for purchase from the Porters website from the 1st to the 30th of April 2009.
