Is it winter already?

Hi All,
It was 3.7 degrees in Ohakune this morning and Ruapehu was blanketed in a cover of fresh white snow. It was 1 degree at Turoas base area with 2 3 cms of lite dry snow lying around. Looking higher up there would be as much as 10cms on the upper slopes. March has definitely seen much cooler temperatures after what has been a really good warm summer.
