Coronet Peak Mountain Mardi Gras

?Thanks Queenstown, it?s been a blast.? That?s the message from Coronet Peak staff who are throwing a party to celebrate a fantastic winter season and welcome warmer, spring skiing conditions.Ski Area Manager Duncan Smith says everyone?s invited to the Coronet Peak Mountain Mardi Gras this Friday, September 15.
?There?ll be live music from well known local band Mutz Nutz, dj?s, fire dancing, food stalls, reverse bungy, a night rail jam and surprise entertainment along with skiing and riding and a moonlit atmosphere.
?This is a great chance for locals, families and visitors to get together on the mountain at night to enjoy great entertainment and a relaxed atmosphere.?
The party gets underway from 4pm and Event Coordinator Alli Edwards is keen to see all ages take part.
?There is plenty to entertain younger children with the entertainment tending older as the night goes on. It?s about celebrating a fantastic winter season with superb conditions and to welcome spring skiing and riding.?
Night skiing will be underway and freestylers can have a go at the ?S Rail? which will be set up in full view of the deck. There is an 07 season pass up for grabs for the the first person to ride the rail to the end.
Locals should keep an eye on nzski.com for night ski ticket giveaways.
Cure Kids charity will be supported with a collection throughout the evening.
