NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR TREBLE CONE
19th May 2009
Treble Cone Investments Ltd has announced the recent appointment of two new Directors and long time Wanaka residents, Tim Hudson & Dave Pickard.
Mr Hudson has been appointed the Acting Managing Director and will oversee ski area operations for the coming 2009 winter season.
The new directors have been invited to the board, with the purpose of reengaging and focusing on the local Wanaka & Queenstown communities.
Other Directors include John Darby (chairman) and George Kerr of Queenstown, and Nat Craig from Dunedin.
Former Area Manager, Jackie van der Voort, will depart the company this week after 20 years of service.
The board would like to acknowledge Ms van der Voorts services to Treble Cone. She has played an instrumental role in the development of the company, particularly over the past five years in her capacity as Area Manager, says Mr Hudson.
While there have been some good snow falls over the past fortnight, the ski area is still scheduled to open Saturday 27 June as advertised.
We received another 50-100cm of snow across the mountain Sunday night and were greeted with thigh deep snow in the car park on Monday morning. We have started to pack down snow on trails and will resume snowmaking from next week in preparation for opening celebrations. Its just great to see such a positive start to the season, Mr Hudson said.
Snow lovers can still take advantage of the Treble Cone pre season pass sale that ends May 31st. The Adult 10day Season Pass can be snapped up for $650 or an Unlimited Season Pass can now be purchased for $450 (youth/senior), $550 (student), $1500 (Adult) & Family passes from $2000.
