Don?t hang up the boards yet!

20th September 2006

There?s good skiing and riding at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables and the Snowsports School has a fantastic school holiday programme available for 6 ? 16 year olds.

Snowsports director Michel Marchand says it?s the last chance for kids to improve their skills this year.

?It?s springtime and it?s all about fun rather than anything too technical, but qualified instruction will help kids get the most out of skiing and boarding and offers them a safe environment as well as lots of fun.?

At Coronet Peak, the Kruiser Squad gets underway on Monday September 25 and offers five-day ski and board programmes with four hour sessions each day.

At The Remarkables, the Remarks Camp offers three or 5 day ski-snowboard camps for 6 ? 16 year olds.  The programme features four hours a day of instruction over three or five days with the option of freestyle classes for upper levels.

The Remarks
Camps start on September 25 and October 2.

Open to all over 10 years old and riding to an intermediate or advanced level are the Burton LTR Freestyle Sessions at The Remarkables.

?These Sessions are designed for snowboarders who want to express themselves in the terrain parks and pipes,? says Mr Marchand.  ?Our qualified freestyle coaches help improve and develop riding skills throughout the half pipe, terrain park and rails and trail runs.?

Also on offer at The Remarkables is the Burton LTR (Learn to Ride) programme for first time snowboarders and the progression pack for second time to advanced skiers and riders.

The Remarkables offers a great deal for families with children aged 10 and under entitled to a free day lift pass. The Ozone Tubing Park provides an added attraction for those taking a break from skiing or boarding and is always a hit with children.

For more information about the programme, or to make a booking, contact the Snowsports School sales office on 03 442 4928 or email school@theremarkables.co.nz. Spaces are limited so bookings are essential.
