Fraser Payne freeriding checkout at Temple. By Riley Bathurst

26th August 2009

Fraser Payne is one of the nicest guys around, always helping out and always has a smile on his face, as the head of CUBA Canterbury University Boardrides Association he is constantly working to give the crew a better day of shreading.

I know this from first hand experience, Ive been to his CUBA events, I've ridden days with him and he happily gave me a ride with him up to Temple Basin for the Gnomes freeride weekend where he was blowing everyone away with how good he's riding these days. He beat everyone including skiers to the best line and took CUBA to the top of the teams standings along the way, even if that did involve importing a few americans to help along the way.

Fraser has been pushing his riding this year and its showing every time he straps his board on wether it be in the park or after a big hike up Temple. Watch out for what he's got the next time you see him ride and then check back in next time because his progression isn't slowing down anytime soon.

Also the Gnomes Freeride Weekend was epic and Temple Basin is amazing. If you haven't been before get there especially for this event next year, its going to be bigger and better.

Thanks heaps to Neil for putting it on.
