Local rider and Parklife team member Nick Hyne impressed audiences and judges alike in this seasons Tararua Real Iced Coffee Slopestyle Series (TRIC) at The Remarkables.

In its eleventh year, the series took place in the Dirty Dog Terrain Park at The Remarkables ski area, on July 26, August 15, September 5 and September 19, with categories for men, women and juniors in both ski and snowboard.
 
Ross Lawrence, Ski Area Manager, said it was a very successful season for the series.
 
It was amazing to see the extent of the talent on display and the improvement of the competitors throughout the season. We were fortunate enough to have fine weather for each event in the series and we had entries from all over the district as well as some internationals. The feedback was really positive from everyone.
 
Individual cash prizes were awarded after each event and Mr Lawrence said local riders took charge of the event.
 
Parklife team rider Nick Hyne was on the podium at each event.  Every year he keeps pushing the envelope further and impressing us. Adie Lawrence stood out among the girls, which shows The Remarkables is home to some great local talent. That is what this series is all about bringing local talent through.
 
We have fantastic terrain park facilities here at The Remarks, which helps grow the skill level of the skiers and riders. Combined with an MC and music, it makes for a great day out for all the competitors and spectators alike.
