Phyzique Gym contributes to Six Olympic Golds.

Lake Wanaka, New Zealand Wanakas Phyzique Gym last season played host to Winter Olympic contenders for their conditioning preparations in lead up to Vancouver 2010.

Shaun White (USA), Torah Bright (AUS), Ashleigh McIvor (CAN), and Viktoria Rebensburg (GER), secured Gold medals in Mens Halfpipe, Womens Halfpipe, Womens Ski Cross and Womens Giant Slalom respectively. Maria Reisch (GER) secured a further two Golds in the Womens Super Combined, and Womens Slalom events.
The athletes, who attended training camps ranging from two weeks up to a 12 week period in Wanaka during 2009, chose Phyzique Gym as their off-snow fitness training base during their stay.

Pete Legnavsky, owner and operator of Phyzique Gym, was thrilled to provide the athletes with what they needed.

Its great to know that we helped play a part in preparing the athletes on their journey to Olympic victory, he said. It shows that our facilities really are world class, and we already have international teams booking in for 2010.

Wanakas own Winter X Games Freeski Halfpipe Medalist, Jossi Wells also frequents Phyzique Gym for his gruelling fitness regime while at home during the winter months.

Located in the Grand Mercure Oakridge Resort Wanaka, Phyzique Gym offers its facilities to both public members and World Class athletes.
