29th December 2006

Tahoe City, CA? The Snowbomb / Alpine Meadows Sick & Twisted Big Air competition is Saturday, January 6. This HUGE competition includes up to $3000 in cash, and great sponsor prizes. This year?s cash purse is Snowbomb?s largest sum to be awarded.

The event will host a ?big air? format in which competitors will clear a custom-built step-down jump at the bottom of Alpine?s terrain park while performing some of the sports? latest tricks. Local and regional pros and amateurs of all ages of men?s and women?s ski and snowboard classes will be included. The event?s venue will be Kangaroo lift, adjacent to the base lodge. Each competitor receives an hour of practice; competitors will be scored on the better of two runs by official judges. Skiers and riders at Alpine have a common bond, that which is uncommonly spoken. At a mountain that hosts some of North America?s most sought-after terrain, most loyal visitors gage happiness by powder depth. The privilege of finding hidden terrain, the charm of a mid-morning cocoa break, and the unspoken bond between other skiers and boarders make the whole of Alpine greater than the sum of its parts. Alpine is tradition. Beauty. Passion and Soul.
