WORLD'S BEST SNOWBOARDERS DESCEND UPON NORTHSTAR-AT-TAHOE RESORT MARCH 2-4 FOR THE VANS CUP

Danny Kass, Kelly Clark, Andreas Wiig and Hana Beaman Join Tahoe Locals Jamie and Joanie Anderson with $200,000 at stake for West Coast?s Biggest Snowboard Contest
Truckee, CA (February 27, 2007) ? The 3rd Annual Vans Cup at Tahoe will draw the world?s best snowboarders to Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort this weekend, March 2-4 with a field including former Olympians Danny Kass, Mason Aguirre, Kelly Clark, Elena Hight, Ross Powers and J.J. Thomas. The contingent of snowboarding?s brightest will also feature luminaries such as Todd Richards, Andreas Wiig, Andy Finch and Hana Beaman as well as Tahoe locals Jamie and Joanie Anderson and is considered the most important professional snowboarding competition on the West Coast with a total prize purse of more than $200,000.
For the first time ever, Vans and Studio411 will team up to present live webcasts of the event at www.vans.com. Look for plenty of photos and live updates at www.vans.com. The Vans Cup at Tahoe television special will also debut on the FUEL Action Sports Network at a date to be announced.
The action kicks off Friday night with defending Rail Jam champs from the past two years, Mike Casanova and Wyatt Caldwell, headlining a field of top jibbers under the lights in a Rail jam session. Action continues Saturday with the Slopestyle comp and caps off on Sunday with the Superpipe finals.
The event, which is free with the purchase of a lift ticket, and open to the public, is sure to draw a huge crowd to Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort. Those who are not riding or skiing can stop by the event office for a free gondola pass.
