Cardrona Expands Kids Centres
31st May 2007
Cardrona Alpine Resort has expanded its Kids Centre places from 268 to 448 per day in a new development announced today. The increase is in the 5-8 years and 8-14 years Kids Centres where new facilities mean more children can now enjoy on and off slope supervision. The kids can access their own lunchroom, rental, ski storage, inside play area and restrooms as well as specialist children ski development programmes. There are four centres for children from 3 months up to 14 years at Cardrona.
?I?d say we?re now the size of many New Zealand primary schools ? though a school where kids learn to ski and snowboard rather than Maths and English?, says Fran MacNamara, Kids Centre Manager at Cardrona.
Cardrona?s four day Skiwee programme is based out of the Kids Centres so the places for this popular programme will significantly increase. Skiwees (or its snowboard equivalent, Lowriders) encourages children to have fun and explore the alpine environment with other kids their own age and ability in the safe hands of qualified instructors. It starts every Monday throughout the season and challenges children without making skiing a trial.
Parents can happily ski all day in the knowledge their kids are safe, having fun and rapidly building confidence on their skis or boards.
