Freeze TV, Episode 2 Coming this week

When episode two of New Zealand?s premiere winter sports hits the country?s TV screens on 11 July, viewers will enjoy the latest action from the Southern Lakes as well as an insight into one the world?s less well known ski regions.

The crew cover the first rail jam of the season at Coronet Peak during the Lindauer Queenstown Winter Festival and visit The Remarkables? new rail park that?s fast earning the respect.

The overseas segment of the show visits Korea, dispelling the belief that snow sports in Asia is exclusive to Japan. Freeze TV discovers that winter alpine life Korean style is a cultural experience like no other. They meet some of the locals and international professionals and try some of the great Korean cuisine.

Not so long ago, freestyle skiing and boarding was largely a male dominated domain but times a changing and Freeze TV catches up with top female freeskier, Tori Beattie and discusses how the industry is handling the increasing female demographic.

Off snow and onto the ice, Freeze TV takes a look at the sport of ice hockey and speaks to New Zealand legend, Simon Glass about the game, what drives him and discusses the growth of the sport in New Zealand and overseas.

Freeze TV airs on Wednesdays at 7.30pm on Sky Sport 2, followed by Thursdays at 9.30pm on Sky Sport 1 and Prime TV on Saturday at 12.30pm. Australian viewers also get in on the action when the programme airs on Fuel TV. It is also the winter programme of choice on the Air New Zealand international network as well as on Freedom Air.
