NZ Freeski Open is bringing the snow back to Wanaka! Following the success of the inaugural BASE Downtown Rail Jam which saw 2500 people packing out the Bullock Bar car park to see over 40 skiers and snowboarders hit the massive BASE rail, NZ Freeski Open, BASE, The Bullock Bar and Snow Park NZ are doing it all again. The event which BASE Marketing coordinator Aimee Paardekooper said ?attracts a super high level of skiers and boarders? will be held as part of the NZ Freeski Open on the 24th of August.

BASE Rail Jam 2006
Due to its huge success last year the organizers have decided to step it up another level this year featuring Top New Zealand DJ?s Confucius and Mysterious D as well as a performance by Kiwi band ?The Dukes?. The format and rails will also change from last year but the organizers are keen to keep the details of such under wraps until the event.

The Main event is starting off on the 24th of August at 5pm in the Bullock Bar car park with the finals set for around 7pm this will be followed by a prize giving and an after party with Confucius and Mysterious D in the Bullock Bar from 10!
