'Remarkable' Girls Day Out

25th August 2007

The girls enjoyed great conditions as well as expert instruction from celebrity instructors Hayley Holt (Dancing with the Stars) and Olympian Juliane Bray.

A full set of Burton gear, as recommended by Juliane, was won by a delighted Zoe McGabock at the end of the day.

Burton representative Joel Nichol said the aim of the day was to promote snowboarding for women and highlight the Learn to Ride Burton equipment available at the ski area.

?It was a chance for the girls to go hard, possibly try something they?ve never done before, and have some serious fun as well,? he said.

The Remarkables Up&Go Terrain Park in Sugar Bowl was redeveloped and enlarged for 2007 and now sports a totally new layout.

It boasts two 30m wide, benched jump and rail lines ? twice the previous size ? and ensures top line jumps with improved intermediate and advanced lines for easier shaping.
