Snowmobile Big Air Back at Cardrona
26th August 2007

Chris Brown, a stunt snowmobile rider, is back at the Coke Zero Cardrona Games from 2-4 September every day at 12.30pm.
Last year he wowed the crowd with 20 metre big airs, jumping a cabin and going up and down super steep slopes ? all within metres of the crowds. This year he plans to go even bigger.
?I?ve brought a special freestyle snowmobile over from the States that is extremely powerful but also has a shorter track so I can get lots more movement in the air?, says Brown.
A snow based landing and ramp are being constructed. The jump itself will be 20-25 metres in length and Brown will being doing tricks 12 metres into the air.
Chris? biggest achievement in the last six months was jumping 46 metres across a moving train. He spent most of his time filming for the most popular snowmobile movie series in the States, ?Slednecks?. This included him jumping off cliffs, gap and distance jumps, and other extreme back country riding. His own TV crew will be filming footage for his upcoming DVD.
Freestyle skiing, snowboarding, motorbikes (FMX) and snowmobiling mixed with live music and top athletes from around the world make up the Coke Zero Cardrona Games, the largest snow sports event in New Zealand, held at Cardrona Alpine Resort on 2-4 September. Olympic and X Games athletes will battle it out for prize money of $45,000.
