Treble Cone launches Daffodil Day initiative

28th August 2007

TREBLE CONE will be going daft for daffodils this Friday, August 31st, when the ski area takes part in the Cancer Society of New Zealand?s annual Daffodil Day.

Treble Cone will be donating a percentage of every lift pass sold on the mountain on Friday to the Cancer Society.

The annual fundraising day raises much-needed money for cancer research and also promotes awareness of cancer-related issues.

Treble Cone is delighted to be on board again with this year?s events, said Area Manager Jackie van der Voort. ?We?re thrilled to be able to get involved with this very worthy cause,? said Ms van der Voort. ?Cancer touches most of our lives at some point, and we at Treble Cone are more than happy to do anything we can to help out and raise awareness amongst our guests.?

?We will be donating a portion of every ticket sold here on Friday to the Cancer Society as a way of showing our support for this great initiative and we?ll also be letting all of our guests know about Daffodil Day while they are on the mountain.?

Treble Cone staff will also be handing out Daffodil Day stickers and the famous lapel daffodils ? with all proceeds going to the Cancer Society.
