Strong International Competition keep Kiwis from Top Places at Cardrona Games Slopestyle

The Cardrona team skiers and riders were just beaten out of first place by some strong international competition at the Slopestyle day at the Coke Zero Cardrona Games.Jossi Wells (NZ, 85.8) was edged out of first place by Charles Gagnier (CAN, 86.8) in the men?s ski event. Janina Kuzma (AUS, 68.5) was second to Ken Herman (USA, 69.5) in the women?s ski event, and Mitch Brown (NZ, 77.5) was beaten out of first by Eric Willett (USA, 83.0) in the men?s snowboard event.

Michelle Shea (USA, 71.3) won the Female Snowboard Slopestyle with local Kendall Brown (NZ, 63.5) coming third.
At his second Coke Zero Cardona Games, Jossi Wells said, ?I?m happy coming second to Charles as he?s the slopestyle man and did the same to me last year.?

Luke Smith did another back flip on his motorbike for the crowd along with a series of other impressive big air FMX tricks. Chris Brown and Paul Thacker continued to wow the crowd with snowmobile big air all round the base of Cardrona. All to the tunes of Salmonella Dub DJ Sound System.
