Treble Cone season to end in celebration
27th September 2007
After a successful 2007 winter season Treble Cone will celebrate the ski area?s closing day this Sunday 30 September.Marketing Manager Anna Thomas says a celebratory day is lined up for holiday makers, school holiday visitors, season pass holders, and staff to enjoy their last turns for the season this Sunday.
?Entertainment will include the popular Lucky Legs jazz band from 11:30am, followed by the humorous Opal Nera Slush Cup event on the Platter from 1:30pm. A quirky hot tub will also be positioned beside the base lodge this year offering a hot dip for all, and especially inviting for Slush Cup participants who do not manage to surf the slush and chill in the ice cold water?.
?Traditionally the last day of the season at Treble Cone is always celebrated in fancy dress also, which provides lots of laughs for ski and snowboard enthusiasts?, says Mrs Thomas.
Skiers & riders are still enjoying great spring conditions and snow coverage across the mountain with plenty of on trail skiing and riding available right down to the base lodge, surpassing snow levels in the past two seasons.
The upper mountain snow base currently measures 90cm at the top of the Volkswagen 6 Seater Express chairlift and 145cm at the top of the Saddle Quad chairlift.
The popular Saddle Basin area continues to offer the best skiing and snowboarding conditions in the Southern Lakes due to its higher altitude and south facing cooler slopes.
The ski area will also celebrate tomorrow (Friday 28 Sept) with Pump Day spring savings. Customers just need to purchase a Pump water bottle in the Treble Cone Caf? to receive half price lift passes, and ski/board hire equipment and improvement clinics for just $20. Full details here.
