Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, Tahoe Opens For Weekend Snowboarding Friday, November 30

Tahoe City, CA - Lake Tahoe?s Alpine Meadows Ski Resort will open for skiing and snowboarding Friday, November 30 for the weekend.  Skiers and riders who are clamoring for early-season turns can enjoy Alpine?s slopes Friday, November 30 through Sunday, December 2 from 9am to 4pm. Opening day adult, teen, and senior (ages 62-69) lift ticket price will be $35; ages 5-12 are $10; and 70+ are $15.  Kids ages 4 and under are free.
 
?Due to consistently cold temperatures, Alpine?s snowmaking team has been able to make quality snow through the week,? said Jim Kercher, Alpine Meadows COO and General Manager.  ?Skiers and riders who have been patiently awaiting the mountain to open should have fun making some early-season turns this weekend,? he added.
 
The resort will offer beginner groomed trails via Meadow Chair and intermediate through advanced skiing and snowboarding via Kangaroo Double Chair.  Kangaroo Run will offer groomed terrain, as well as a smattering of park features for jibbers.
 
Ski and snowboard school beginner and private lessons will be available daily for all ages and ability level. Dining, rental equipment, and other resort services will include the Meadows Caf?, Estelle Sports retail shop, season pass office, and the ski/snowboard rental shop, all located in the base lodge.    
 
The only thing better than opening day at Alpine is opening day at Alpine with a little PBR to whet your whistle.  That famous Blue Ribbon will be on tap for pass holders, giving skiers reason enough to take advantage of early-season pass rates; available until Friday, November 30.
