High-tech equipment plays a major part in the sustainability of Coronet Peak?s redevelopment.

Concrete from the former building is crushed on site and re-used as basecourse and compacted hard-fill in the new base building.

Prior to the concrete being crushed, steel reinforcing was separated out and removed from the site for recycling and use elsewhere.

The next milestone in this multi million dollar makeover will be the completion of the final 100 ground pits to accommodate the new, fully-automated snow guns. Nearly 50 pits were installed before the end of 2007; on schedule with the 28-week timeline for Coronet Peak?s redevelopment.
