MD Night Sessions

26th June 2008



The first event of the 2008 season at Snow Park NZ is just a week away!  Thursday, July 3rd marks the first event of the Mountain Dew Night Sessions series which consists of four rail jams leading up to an invitiational final which has a $9000 cash prize pool. 

Winner takes all...$6000 to first male and $3000 to first female. 


Riders will gain points for placing at each event in order to gain entry to the final and the chance to take out the huge cash prize.  Thanks to Mountain Dew, Quest and Jameson for making this event happen!


Format:  Open Jam on the new stairset
Discipline:  Snowboard
Time:  6pm start
Entry details:  30 spots for men, 15 spots for women per event.  Rego starts now and can also be done on the day providing there are spots left.
Dates: July 3, July 17, Aug 7, Aug 28.   Final: Sept 5

Prize breakdown for Thursday, July 3rd:
Male 1st        $300 cash
Female 1st    $200 cash
Male 2nd       $200 Quest voucher
Female 2nd   $100 Quest voucher
Male 3rd        $150 Quest voucher
Female 3rd    $50 Quest voucher

Why such the big difference in prize money and vouchers for men and women... I understand that there is less competition in the womens field with only 15 spots for women, but it's a bit of a kick in the guts to all chicks out there working just as hard as the guys to compete...
