Well this picture says it all. Turoa Snow School Supervisor, Matt Alcock in the base area this morning. Turoa officially now has the biggest snow base at this time of year (151cms) since the all time record breaking 1992. Whakapapa has gone from nothing to 122cms in five days. Both Ski Areas are digging themselves out and opening lift facilities and trails and fast as possible. The July school holidays start at the end of next week.
